
David Thorpe,
Chairman
David Thorpe, became Chairman of Clinical Solutions in October 2005. For the last 25 years, David has been in the technology and IT services sector, most notably holding several senior positions with EDS, including UK CEO and until 2003 European President. He is a Non-executive Director of Interserve plc and Non-executive Chairman of Innovation Group plc and SHL.
David is a strategic advisor to a number of technology companies. He is a qualified accountant and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting, the Institute of Directors and the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
David is married with two daughters. He enjoys the countryside, food and wine and equestrian activities, which include a small stud farm breeding racehorses.
Edward Woods
Edward Woods is a Director at Bridgepoint in London.
After graduating from Cambridge University, he worked for Schroders and then Citigroup, joining Bridgepoint in 2002.
Bernard Liautaud Bernard Liautaud has been a General Partner at Balderton Capital since 2008. Prior to this he founded Business Objects and was CEO for 15 years then Chairman until January 2008. With 6,700 employees, 45,000 customers and $1.5 billion of revenue in 2007, Business Objects was the world leader in Business Intelligence and one of the 15 largest software companies in the world. Business Objects was the first European software IPO on Nasdaq in 1994.
In January 2008, Business Objects was acquired by SAP for $6.8 billion, making it the third largest software acquisition at the time.
Bernard is now a member of the SAP Supervisory Board and its strategy committee. He is also a member of Cap Gemini’s board and its strategy committee.
He has received a number of distinctions including “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur” in 2007 in France, Time Magazine Europe’s Digital Top 25 and BusinessWeek Stars of Europe of 2002, Top 10 CEOs in North America by Chief Executive Magazine in 2001.
Education: Diplôme d’Ingénieur, Ecole Centrale de Paris, and Master of Science, Engineering Management, Stanford University.
Tom Dunn Tom Dunn joined the board of Clinical Solutions in 2005. He is also a member of the Remuneration Committee of the board.
Tom is the Chairman of Orbian Corporation (www.orbian.com), the world’s leading supply chain finance company. Based in Connecticut and London, Orbian provides working capital finance across the globe for suppliers to many of the Fortune 1000.
From 1987-2003, Tom worked for JP Morgan in their London, Melbourne, Sydney and Tokyo Offices. His career was mainly focused upon Debt Capital Markets, Credit Trading and Risk Management. From 1999, he was a Managing Director and member of the bank’s Asian management team.
