
Xavier Flinois,
Chief Executive Officer
Xavier Flinois joined Clinical Solutions in October 2009 as Chief Executive Officer from consulting and investment boutique Houat Partners. Xavier has over twenty years experience in technology and health IT projects around the world as a former CEO of SchlumbergerSema and a member of the Management Board of AtosOrigin, in charge of the UK, Americas and Asia.
Under Xavier's leadership, AtosOrigin became a leading player in the health Industry in the UK, both as an IT supplier to the NHS and as the leading provider of medical services to the occupational healthcare and the benefit assessment markets.
After AtosOrigin, Xavier founded Houat Partners LLP, an advisory firm based in London, providing origination and co-investment services to hedge and private equity funds in the technology, energy and business services sectors.
Xavier is married with four children. While he enjoys history and visiting old cities around the world, his main extra professional activity outside his family is competitive sailing.
Iain Jamieson,
Chief Financial Officer
Iain joined Clinical Solutions in July 2008 from Inflexion Private Equity where he was Portfolio Director, monitoring and over-seeing a portfolio of up to thirty six companies. Previously, he was Head of Portfolio Management at BancBoston Capital where he sat on a number of company boards in the UK and Europe and was involved in several capital and operational restructurings and eleven exits.
Iain has operational experience from his time in industry and has held senior financial positions with Smiths Group plc, Hanson plc and Wassall plc where he was involved in several turnarounds and exits. He is a qualified chartered accountant.
Iain is married with four children and enjoys taking the family orienteering, skiing and golfing.
Peter McNaney,
Executive Vice President Solutions
Peter McNaney joined Clinical Solutions as Executive Vice President Solutions in May 2011, bringing with him over twenty years’ experience of working in technology companies and delivering real business value to customers through the application of technology.
Before joining Clinical Solutions Peter was responsible for spearheading technology development for the UK’s largest privately held Software Company, the IRIS Group. His experience before that includes five years as Professional Services Director at Pivotal Corporation where he directed multi-million pound projects and increased revenues significantly. Peter also held various senior roles at CRM companies Amyyon and Minerva Computer Systems as well as Software Development Manager for part of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Shaun Hopgood,
Executive Vice President, UK and Operations
Shaun joined Clinical Solutions in June 2002 in the role of General Manager for UK operations. Following this Shaun managed the Product Development arm of Clinical Solutions in his role as Chief Technical Officer where he was instrumental in delivering the new .Net Framework Platform for the Clinical Solutions suite of decision support and Knowledge Management Solutions.
Shaun took up the role of Chief Operating Officer for the business in 2006 and has recently moved into the role of Executive Vice President, UK & Ireland and Operations where he is responsible for the UK and Ireland business and the overall operation of Clinical Solutions.
Before joining Clinical Solutions Shaun worked for Alcatel Telecom in the UK, where he developed on his technical and management experience by heading up the Services team as Service & Operations Director, delivering market leading managed voice and data solutions to a broad range of companies in the UK. Prior to this Shaun held a Senior Management position at Racal Telecom. He brings with him a wealth of technical and management skills and experience gained in the IT and Telecoms solutions industry.
Shaun is married with two children and is a motorcycle enthusiast.
John Stevens,
Executive Vice President, International
John was part of the team responsible for creating Clinical Solutions (previously CAS Services Ltd) when the company was formed in March 2002. Prior to forming Clinical Solutions, John was with AXA Interpartner Assistance in the UK working with the team that eventually became Clinical Solutions. John has a wealth of experience and knowledge in Clinical Solutions’ chosen markets. John’s role is leading Clinical Solutions to identify new business directions, territories and partnerships to continue to develop the company on a global scale.
Prior to joining Clinical Solutions John worked in various health solutions company’s in various locations around the world including Australia, Thailand and Scotland.
John is passionate about travel and takes every opportunity to visit new places, but is especially fond of Italian culture.
Dr Jean Challiner,
Chief Medical Officer
Dr Jean Challiner joined Clinical Solutions in November 2008 as UK Medical Director. She was previously a Clinical Subject Matter Expert working for the Department of Health. Jean has extensive clinical experience gained over 30 years in both Primary Care and A&E and has more recently spent over four years with NHS Direct. She has a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Physiology, a degree in Medicine and Surgery and a Fellowship in Immediate Medical Care from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Jean works with Clinical Solutions’ international clinical team and an extended network of external clinicians to deliver safe and effective decision support solutions to healthcare providers.
