22 March 2011 : We are pleased to announce that we are sponsoring the award for 'Best use of teleheath and telecare'

Advances in the use of telecare to support elderly and vulnerable people in their own homes and telehealth to deliver healthcare remotely have gathered pace in recent years. Pilot projects have given way to much larger scale mainstream use of these technologies and it’s time to reward the best examples of UK practice.

Criteria:

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
- How your work in telehealth or telecare delivers measurable benefits to patients and clients
- How your work has helped healthcare organisations achieve their aims (these could include: avoiding hospital admissions, controlling costs or improving users' quality of life)
- How your work could be replicated elsewhere or scaled up
