TeleGuide Content Suite

Clinical Solutions TeleGuide Content Suite or algorithms are symptom based clinical assessment tools designed by clinicians that were originally created for use by clinicians when assessing patients over the telephone. TeleGuides differ from protocols in that each question takes into account the response for the preceding questions leading to not just another question, but the most appropriate question being presented next. Over the last 10 years TeleGuides have been used in over 60 million patient encounters and has been proven to be a safe clinical assessment tool. Based on our experience we have developed the suite further to become an expert base set of configurable clinical content for use in the delivery of multi-channel healthcare decision support. Use of the TeleGuides supports efficient and effective clinical assessment and permits timely management of a patient’s presenting symptoms.

The core principles around which the TeleGuide Content Suite is constructed ensure high quality, consistency of approach, clinical safety and ongoing development. A huge amount of clinical evidence and information, together with many years of clinical experience from experts in their fields has contributed to the construction of the base set of algorithms. Many more years of experience in their use have contributed to the continued development of the content of the algorithms and its functionality to improve specific models of service. The information which underpins the question flows provides supporting evidence and background information which aids understanding and provides context so supporting best practice in use of the algorithms and also serving as a learning resource for system users. Evidence based care advice is an integral part of each algorithm with a range of topics, each relevant to the presenting symptom, being presented to the user.
