Using our experience and knowledge from use of the TeleGuides, the clinical algorithm content has been adapted for self assessment and to offer patients appropriate self-care measures based on the symptoms/conditions they are experiencing. The algorithm content and terminology has been adapted so that it is safe and easy for a non clinical user to follow and when problems cannot safely be self assessed or when face to face assessment is needed the user is given clear advice about what to do next. They are also offered clear concise self-care advice to enable them to care for themselves at home or as an interim measure until they make contact with a healthcare professional.
Our algorithms use logic to take into account the age and gender of a patient. For females our clinical content differentiates between pre and post pubertal females and also menopausal females. Our mother and child content covers the needs and wellbeing of pregnant women, mothers post delivery, the new born child, infants, toddlers and older children.
The First Aid Pack has been developed to ensure patients or carers can simply but effectively deal with minor injuries that may occur within the home or work environment. It allows the patient or workplace to safely assess the problem and offers advice about what to do next with clear and concise interim or self care advice.
Minor illnesses are self-limiting conditions which in most cases can be safely managed with by the patient without the need for contact with a healthcare professional. Our Minor Illness pack allows patients to self assess and empowers them through the provision of clear care advice to take care for themselves, but also to know when to escalate to a healthcare professional if things are not going according to plan. This leaves healthcare professionals free to deal with the more serious conditions where professional assessment and care is needed.
Out Diabetes Programme Pack aims to empower patients with diabetes to take control of their condition, by providing symptom based or problem based advice, support and information to allow them to make informed choices. Our aim is to ensure that patients with diabetes remain fit and well and to identify where early intervention is required to ensure the patient avoids unnecessary hospital attendance. We can also created bespoke diabetes management programmes to complement and enhance existing services.
Men’s health has been designed to empower and inform men about conditions that affect them. Our aim is to ensure men take active control of their health through self assessment and by empowering them to care for themselves through the provision of evidence based care advice, so allowing them to make informed choices about their health.
Our student and university pack complements services prompted by the institutions providing easy access for students to carry out symptom based self assessment 24/7 and provides access to health education and promotion materials regarding common conditions affecting this group such as minor illness and injury, sexual health problems, depression and anxiety.
The core content and methodology used within our TeleGuide content lends itself it to the creation of other bespoke content sets for specialist assessment such as behavioural or mental health assessment. This could also include incorporation of customers own clinical assessment protocols. Other specific programme content can also be tailored to meet customer requirements.
