All deployments and changes to deployed software, which may be required as future workflow is refined or expanded, follow strict change control and change management processes to ensure system and service stability.
This ITIL driven procedure ensures faults, failures and issues caused by change are pro-actively minimised or avoided altogether. This system of planning, assessment and approval for changes is utilised by all Clinical Solutions teams meaning the customer can see a joined up approach as a deployment or alteration progresses through the various steps through to the customers usage.
Major changes are retrospectively reviewed to analyse lessons learnt to improve the process and understanding.
As befits any solution that is used in pressured, high availability or clinically critical environments; Clinical Solutions also operates a change escalation process to enable urgent and less urgent clinical changes to be safely expedited and deployed in a timely manner.
